What enanthate is
Enanthate is the default long ester and the one most other esters are described against. A seven-carbon chain gives a release curve measured in days rather than hours, which is what makes infrequent injection practical and why it became the clinical standard alongside cypionate.

Weight, and why it is not a detail
Enanthate and cypionate are close enough that the choice between them is usually availability and price rather than pharmacology. Enanthate carries roughly 70 mg of testosterone per 100 mg of ester. The practical difference against cypionate is under half a day of half-life and about one percentage point of testosterone fraction, which is smaller than the batch-to-batch variation in most products.
